DEVOTIONAL:

God wants His people to live by their faith and not depend on the Babylonian system of the world. Babylon is characterized by any system trying to meet its needs without God. Jesus taught His disciples how get off the world’s system and tap into the economy of the kingdom of heaven. Jesus came to take them, and us, above the system. He came to show us how to get our needs met independent of any earthly system and the constraints of time. 

Jesus was teaching His disciples that God is going to provide for us. It doesn’t make any difference what’s going on in the systems of the world. Unfortunately, most of God’s people are still depending on the world. They’ve switched kingdoms, meaning they are born again, but they haven’t switched systems to get their physical needs met.

Psalm 37:19 says, “They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine, they shall be satisfied.” In other words, God’s people are going to have more than enough. It doesn’t make any difference what the economy is experiencing. As a child of Almighty God, you are in this world, but not of this world. When God sends you in the world, He doesn’t want you to live and depend on the world, because you can’t transform a world you’re depending on.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I praise You for Your goodness to me and for teaching me that I don’t have to depend on this world’s system to get my needs met. In Your kingdom, I operate by faith, trusting Your Word that says I shall have more than enough no matter what’s going on in the world’s economy. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL:

I tell people all the time, don’t let the devil give you anything, because if he ever gives it to you he can take it back at will, or he can control you with it. 

The Bible says that those in the Kingdom of God take what they want by force… the force of faith. “And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12). So, we take it. We don’t compromise. 

Someone might ask, “Well, how do I take it?” Part of the answer is found in Mark 3:27, “No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.” Another translation says “plunder” his house. This means that to displace the devil and the kingdom of darkness, you first have to bind the strong man. And when you do, you are going to take everything he’s got.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I thank You for empowering me with the boldness to take the Kingdom of God—all that You have planned for me to be, to do, and to have—with the force of faith. I bind the devil in Jesus’ Name, and displace him and his kingdom of darkness. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL:

God is depending on the Body of Christ not only to evangelize the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, but also to shift the culture of the earth back to the culture of the Kingdom of God. This is the same culture that Adam was to cultivate throughout the earth before he sinned. It is a culture where the laws, beliefs, and values of God, as written in the Bible, govern and guide the attitudes and actions of all its citizens. In simplest terms, a Kingdom culture is one where God is King. 

To shift the culture of a society, seven social spheres or “mountains” must be influenced and dominated: government, media, education, business, sports, arts and entertainment, and the family. God sends us, as ambassadors for Christ, into these various mountains so that we can bring His presence, principles and power, “…as my Father hath sent me (Jesus), even so I send you” (John 20:21). 

In whatever mountain God assigns you as part of your purpose here on Earth, His plan is for you to go to the top. He knows that only those at the top of their mountain can determine the direction and destiny of that mountain.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I receive Your plan and purpose for my life. Thank you for Your divine assignment to go to the top of the mountain you’ve assigned to me. By faith, I will reach the top and, according to Your Word, determine the direction and destiny of that mountain. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

And the Lord  God took the man (Adam), and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Genesis 2:15)

DEVOTIONAL:

We read in this week’s scripture verse, “And the Lord  God took the man (Adam), and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” What does the word “keep” mean here?

The word keep in the New American Standard Bible (NASB) translation means “to cultivate.” This has to do with tilling and bringing forth something. Adam was supposed to take that which was in the garden and spread it throughout the world. Said another way, Adam’s assignment before he fell was to take the culture of the kingdom and plant it throughout the Earth.

Today, as the Church, we have been mandated to fulfill the same assignment. We are to take up where Adam left off. We are supposed to take the culture of God’s kingdom to every nation and plant it there. The culture of the kingdom is outlined in the constitution of the kingdom, the Bible, and biblical systems can overthrow Babylonian systems, or any systems trying to operate without God.

This is why we, as Christ’s ambassadors, have to bring the kingdom of God to the earth and shift the culture. This is the Church’s job…to finish what Adam started.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I accept my assignment as Christ’s ambassador in the Body of Christ, the Church, to finish what Adam started. Reveal to me through Your Word Your plans and purposes for this season in my life. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

You may not realize it, but if you are born again, you are a walking, breathing miracle. When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, something supernatural happened. The Creator of the whole universe and His Kingdom came to live on the inside of you.

Too many of God’s people have been talked out of believing in miracles, and that has to change—Jesus is still speaking and working miracles today. He is simply doing them through His new body, the Church. It is time to rekindle every believer’s fire for walking in the supernatural.

Manifesting God’s miracles, and faith comes only one way—by the Word of God. Miracles must be preached right alongside the Kingdom of God. In these last days there are battles you can’t win and promises you’ll be hard-pressed to possess without a miracle. Human intellect and ability alone will be no match for the devil.

Miracles are designed to turn people from false gods to the True and Living God, from trusting in the systems of the world to trusting in the far more superior systems of the Kingdom. The Kingdom of heaven is the true world superpower. This is why the enemy works overtime to take away or stop the miracle-working power of God through the Body of Christ.

God’s assignments require the power of the supernatural, not theological doctrine and religious precepts. To fulfill your divine destiny, you will have to develop a miracle mindset.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for my salvation in Christ Jesus and that You have made me brand-new. I praise You for giving me the power to work miracles just like Jesus did. I step out boldly in faith according to Your Word to win battles and receive Your promises. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

God never intended for you to rise to the top of your mountain of influence without the supernatural or to take dominion, control the market, eradicate poverty, restore the waste places, and heal the hurting without Him and the miraculous. The enemy has no answer to God’s miracles.

The truth is, in these last days there are simply some battles you can’t win, projects you can’t finish, property you can’t afford, places you can’t go, business deals you can’t close, laws you can’t change, forces you can’t defeat, and destinies you can’t reach—without a miracle!

The spiritual urgency for miracles and your passion for the supernatural should not be an exception, but a lifestyle—it is not for you to follow signs, but for signs to follow those who believe (see Mark 16:17). 

Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. Isaiah 8:18

PRAYER:

Dear God, increase my passion for the supernatural and miracles. I decree that signs and wonders shall follow me. I will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

One miracle is worth a thousand sermons, slideshow presentations, and video conference calls. Of course, these all have their place, but so do miracles. The apostle Paul said, “My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:4–5).

Jesus put His whole ministry and reputation on the line for miracles. “If I am not doing the works [performing the deeds] of My Father, then do not believe Me [do not adhere to Me and trust Me and rely on Me]. But if I do them, even though you do not believe Me or have faith in Me, [at least] believe the works” (John 10:37–38, AMPC, emphasis added).

Today, every Kingdom business or endeavor should have miraculous results and Kingdom methodologies, which means the thoughts of what to do and how to do it must come directly from God. According to Scripture, these solutions cannot be matched by this world or the

god of this world. This guarantees marketplace dominance and global Kingdom influence.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I want to walk in your miracle power in my (business / job / community). As with the apostle Paul, let the words I speak be not in man’s wisdom, but in the demonstration of Your Spirit and power. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

Many people don’t associate the marketplace with miracles. To suggest that God supernaturally works in business, education, and all spheres of influence might even bring ridicule. Surely, some might say, business success comes only through hard work, the right contacts, and the art of being cunning. 

God does work miracles in the marketplace, and He always has, from the days of Abraham until now. God delights in our workplace success and gave us The Blessing in Genesis 1:28 to guarantee it.

Jesus had a ministry of miracles, and most were performed beyond the four walls of the synagogue. Whether at the shoreline or in a desert place, Jesus taught the Kingdom of God and then demonstrated the supernatural to the multitudes. He also taught His disciples

about miracles and expected His disciples—and us—to follow in His footsteps.

Are you ready to have a ministry of miracles in your sphere of influence?

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you that Your Son Jesus is our example of the Kingdom power You want to display in the earth through us, Your present-day disciples. I receive Your assignment to demonstrate the supernatural to those around me. Anoint me with the same miracle-working power that Jesus walked in. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL:

Speaking to mountains in Mark 11:23 is a metaphorical way to teach us the power of our words. Like God, we create with our words; which means we can also fix, restore, replace, increase, repurpose, redefine, and rescript with our words. Instead of saying what is, say what should be. Our words are spirit and more powerful than the biggest, most impossible natural reality. Doubt not. Believe those things you say will come to pass, and you will have whatsoever you say!

What does Jesus say about this? Let’s look at the well-known scripture portion in Mark, chapter 11:

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Verses 22–25

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for Your promise that no matter how big the problem is that I am facing, I  can have what I say if I believe it in my heart. Holy Spirit, fill my heart with God’s love and forgiveness toward those who have hurt me, so that my faith will not be hindered. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL:

Fight the good fight of faith and never become passive, tolerant or numb to the enemy’s attacks. If life has lost its vitality, excitement and meaning, you are under attack. Oppression, depression, fear, anxiety, frustration, and giving in to fleshly temptations are all a sign of the devil gaining ground, so stop him! Yes, the flesh never feels like resisting, but every attack pushes us further away from our union with and power through God. 

Satan is a liar, and believing his lies always brings bondage, even when disguised as a fun indulgence. So, if the enemy or that old fleshly nature has won over this time, get up and run your race, keep your eyes on Jesus, and keep believing God’s Word!

There is nothing that can separate us from God’s love. Ever. He always loves us, forever and ever! Do you believe that? Well, by faith, walk in it! (See Romans 8:31–39 and 1 Timothy 6:12, this week’s devotional verse.)

PRAYER:

Dear God, I thank You for your never failing mercy. Please forgive me if I’ve become passive, tolerant, or given in to temptation. I resist the attacks of satan and my old fleshly nature. I am a winner in Jesus! I will fight the good fight of faith, and run my race! In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
